Heads up: Rock in Rio is the same weekend as our wedding, which means hotels in Rio will fill quickly and prices will be higher than normal. Book your stay early to secure better rates and preferred locations.
One tip: unless you're only in town for a night or two, stay in the Zona Sul — Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana, or around the Lagoa — rather than up in Santa Teresa. It's walkable, right by the beach, and you'll enjoy your days much more. Ubers to the venue are quick and cheap by US standards.
