Entry Requirements
Entry requirements depend on the passport you will use to travel
- Check that every traveler's passport will be valid for the entire trip and meets the airline's requirements
- Travelers using a U.S., Canadian, or Australian passport need an approved Brazil eVisa before departure. If you will use another passport, verify its requirements with a Brazilian consulate
- If you need an eVisa and have not applied, apply now. The official portal recommends applying two months before travel
- Processing can take up to 10 business days after your documents are verified. Follow the official photo and document requirements carefully because corrections can add time

Connecting via São Paulo
Flights from São Paulo may arrive at Santos Dumont (SDU) instead of Galeão (GIG)
From Chicago
We recommend connecting through Houston (IAH), Miami (MIA), or São Paulo (GRU) for the easiest connections to Rio
Getting Around Rio
- We recommend Uber for getting around. Santa Teresa's hills and narrow streets make driving stressful, parking is nearly impossible to find, and rides are very affordable here.
- If this is your first time in Rio, stay in Leblon or Ipanema. Copacabana also works.
- Taxis will be available from the event for the ride home.
